Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Car Accident at St. Johns County, Florida
ST JOHNS COUNTY, FLORIDA - A news report published on news4jax.com states that the Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a pedestrian accident that severely injured a person.* The collision occurred at a rest area on Interstate 95, south of Race Track Road in St. Johns County, Florida.
The crash happened around 7:30 in the evening, according to FHP. The report states that a pickup truck turned into the rest area, pulled up to the building, and a 69-year-old man from Merritt Island exited the pickup truck. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the pickup truck driver then drove into a parking space. As the driver tried to park, the wheels of the trailer hit the pedestrian.
Florida Highway Patro troopers reported that the man was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries. The Highway Patrol stated that the driver of the pickup truck was hurt in the accident.
