Fatal Pedestrian Accident on County Road 167 in Jackson County, Florida

JACKSON COUNTY, FLORIDA - A news article published on wjhg.com reports that Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a tragic, fatal accident along County Road 167 in Jackson County, Florida.*

According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Marianna man was walking east and attempted to cross County Road 167.  The Florida Highway Patrol's accident report stated that a car collided with the victim in the southbound traffic lane.

According to the accident report, the man from Marianna was pronounced deceased.  The pedestrian accident is currently being investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol.  Law enforcement did not release any further details concerning the car accident, and the people involved were released at this time.  Police did not disclose if criminal charges would be filed in this case.
