Fatal Tampa Accident Caused By a Driver Driving More Than 100 MPH

FLORIDA - A news article published on tampabay.com reports that a man driving a Ford Mustang was allegedly driving approximately 109 mphwhen he crashed into a Nissan SUV. * The accident occurred on Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa, Florida.  

According to the news report, the driver was an off-duty Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office detention deputy.  The Nissan SUV was transporting a couple.  The female victim tragically passed away after the accident.  

This tragic motor vehicle crash is under investigation by local law enforcement.  No further details concerning the accident and those involved were reported.  Law enforcement officers working the case did not disclose whether or not criminal charges would be filed in this case or if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
