Tragic, Fatal Motorcycle Accident on South Babcock Street in Melbourne, Florida

MELBOURNE, FLORIDA - A news article published on reports that the Melbourne Police responded to a fatal motorcycle accident at South Babcock Street and Southgate Boulevard in Melbourne, Florida.*  The accident occurred at approximately 8 in the evening last Thursday.  

According to the Melbourne Police, the accident involved a motorcycle and a motor vehicle.  As law enforcement officers responded to the accident, they found the motorcyclist sustained life-threatening accident injuries and that the motorcyclist succumbed to his accident injuries.

The Melbourne Police's preliminary accident investigation shows that the deceased was operating his motorcycle north on South Babcock Street.  At some point, the motorcyclist collided with a Buick four-door sedan, which was trying to turn left onto Southgate Boulevard.

The Melbourne Police stated that drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the accident.

The Melbourne Police did not identify the accident victim.  This severe motorcycle crash is currently under investigation.  No additional information concerning the motorcycle accident was released. Melbourne Police did not state whether or not a criminal would be filed.
