Tragic, Fatal Pedestrian Accident on I-95 in Delray Beach, Florida

FLORIDA - A news report published on palmbeachpost.com states that a man from St. Cloud was tragically killed in a pedestrian accident along I-95 in Delray Beach, Florida.*

According to the report, the victim was attempting to cross Interstate 95 when he was tragically struck by a tractor-trailer truck.  He was then struck by two more vehicles, police reported.  

The 20-year-old victim's name has not been released at this time.  The victim was sprinting northeast along I-95 by Linton Boulevard.  At some point, the runner ran across the southbound lanes and was hit by the tractor-trailer truck, the Florida Highway Patrol said.  The report states that the truck struck the runner and threw him back onto the interstate, where he was run over by an SUV and a sedan. 

The runner was declared deceased at the accident scene, Florida Highway Patrol reported. No additional details were made available. The fatal pedestrian collision is currently under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
