Tragic Fatal Accident on US 231 in Fountain, Florida, Kills Four

FOUNTAIN, FLORIDA - A news report published on wjhg.com states that Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident that tragically killed four people, and another person is in critical medical condition.*  The fatal accident occurred last Friday night in Fountain, Florida. 

Florida Highway Patrol troopers stated that one car was heading south in the northbound traffic lane along US 231.  Another sedan was heading northbound in the north lane. The two vehicles collided with each other.  The troopers stated that the car heading in the right direction burst into flames when the vehicles collided.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the driver who was heading in the wrong direction was tragically killed in the accident.  That vehicle had two occupants. One of the passengers is in critical medical condition and the other passenger suffered serious injuries.

The other car involved in the wrong-way accident had two occupants.  The Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported that those who passed away died at the accident scene.  The report stated that one of the deceased may be as young as two-years-old.

The Bay County Fire Department, the Bay County EMS, and the Bay County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the accident to help.  The fatal accident is currently under investigation.
