Ocala Charged in DUI Accident That Killed Two Passengers in His Car

MARION COUNTY, FLORIDA - A news article published on clickorlando.com states that a Marion County man has been arrested and criminally charged following a fatal accident in Marion County, Florida.*

The accident tragically took the lives of a 16-year-old girl and a 21-year-old woman.  According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the fatal crash transpired when a 19-year-old man allegedly caused an accident while under the influence of alcohol.  

According to the news report, the suspect struck a median sending the vehicle through the roadway's shoulder into a group of trees, causing the vehicle to flip multiple times.  The victims were passengers in the car that crashed, and the two victims were declared dead at the accident scene.

Law enforcement officers found the driver was under the influence during the accident.  He was arrested and charged with two counts of DUI manslaughter and two counts of vehicular homicide.  He has been booked into the Marion County Jail.  No additional details were provided.
