Car Hits Bicyclist on Lillian Hwy in Myrtle Grove, Florida



MYRTLE GROVE, FL. – According to a news report published online at weartv.com, a car hit a bicyclist on Lillian Highway in Myrtle Grove, Florida. Few details about the accident have been released by investigators, though the report says that the cyclist was injured in the collision. No one involved in the wreck has been identified.* 

The accident happened in the morning at the intersection of Lillian Highway and North 61st Avenue in Myrtle Grove, Escambia County, Florida. Florida Highway Patrol and WEAR report that around 8:30 a.m., emergency responders were called to the scene on a report of a traffic collision. Authorities arrived to find that a vehicle had somehow crashed into a bicycle. 

It is unclear how the accident occurred or what events led to the crash. The circumstances leading to the collision and the nature of the crash were not described in the report. The make and model of the vehicle were not listed, nor was any information about what type of bicycle was involved. 

The news story indicates that the cyclist sustained injuries in the accident, and paramedics took him or her to Sacred Heart Hospital for treatment.
