Jonathan Pierce has been practicing law since 1979 with a core focus on worker’s compensation law since 1986. With his decades of knowledge and experience, he’s a forceful advocate for people who have been seriously injured on the job. Jonathan is also a longstanding member of the Atlanta Bar Workers’ Compensation Section and served on their Board of Directors from 1994-1998.
Jonathan is a strong believer in maintaining communication with clients, a value that is instilled by Montlick & Associates’ founder, David Montlick. He prioritizes attorney-client conversations and understands that nothing makes a client feel more valued than being able to speak with his or her attorney on a regular basis. Jonathan understands the importance of timely deadlines and that having immediate medical treatment can facilitate a successful claim. He also understands that there are many moving pieces within each case that require consistent and clear client communication. He makes sure he is always accessible to his clients, and can support them with the guidance, patience, and compassion they deserve.
Jonathan graduated from Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, with Honors in English. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Emory University School of Law. For the last 27 years, he has mentored aspiring attorneys, leading discussion groups with first-year law students on important professional and ethical issues.
Jonathan is known as a devout family man. He describes Linda, his wife of over 40 years, as his best friend and companion. They both love spending time with their two sons, and are now blessed with a growing family including their daughter-in-law and two grandsons.
Jonathan is also an avid hiker and backpacker, and enjoys taking family and friends on backcountry wilderness trips in North Georgia, Eastern Tennessee, and Western North Carolina. Roughly every 3 years, he heads out West on extended backpacking trips to experience the grandeur of places such as Glacier National Park, the Grand Tetons, Mount Hood and other outdoor adventures.
