RED BANK, S.C.— A collision between a dump truck and a motorcycle killed the motorcycle rider. The fatal motorcycle crash occurred in Lexington County just outside of Red Bank around 11:35 a.m. on a Thursday morning. According to WLTX, the crash scene was located on Two North Road near Red Bank and a short distance away from Interstate 20. The motorcycle rider was a 23-year-old man. Physicians at the hospital pronounced him deceased from his injuries shortly after arrival. South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers began an investigation. They said that the motorcycle rider did wear a helmet while riding. The investigators initially determined that the crash occurred when a vehicle turned left in front of the motorcycle, and the motorbike rider struck the car broadside.
