New Insurance Monitoring Program May Prevent Atlanta Auto Accidents

A program designed to provide drivers with customized lower insurance premiums may also promote safer driving practices and reduce Atlanta auto accidents that result in injury and wrongful death. The insurance program that is currently being offered by State Farm and Allstate insurance companies is expected to be adopted by other insurers. Under the program, drivers have a device installed on their vehicles that tracks such driving patterns as speed, hard braking, mileage and time of the day when the vehicle is driven. A driver that agrees to have the device installed on their vehicle can receive a discount on insurance premiums of up to 30 percent off current good driver rates.

Fatal Motocross Accident May Be Basis for Liability

A Georgia teenager recently was involved in a tragic, fatal accident while competing in a motocross event in Alabama. Summerville teenager Daniel Tyler Reynolds, 17, died after his motorcycle slammed into a wall during the motocross event. Media reports indicate that Reynolds lost control of his bike while going over a jump.

Jones, a Walton High School student and running back on its football team, the Walton Raiders, is a talented young man whose coach describes him as a “mentor for younger players” and also one of the most successful running backs that the team has ever had. Jones’ coach also praises him for working his tail off in the classroom and on the field. In general, Jones is considered a very strong player whose coach and fellow teammates are confident will break his school’s rushing record. Jones is honored to receive the title of Montlick & Associates' Athlete of the Week, but remains humbled and focused on the game.
