The risk of accidents at spectator sports arenas and stadiums exist, but the responsibility of how to deal with the risk of injury from such an accident weighs heavily on the spectator's own shoulders. Girl Dies of Sunstroke When Left in Day Care Van

In Atlanta, 3 people were arrested this June for leaving a two-year-old girl in a day care van for nearly two hours when the temperature outside was in the mid 90's. The women responsible are being charged with cruelty to children, involuntary manslaughter, and reckless conduct. This is the second death of its kind to happen in the Atlanta area in less than a month. Another child, five months old, died after she was left in a hot car for five hours outside of a day care center in Kennesaw on May 25. The 21-year-old girl responsible is being charged for her death.

New Frontal Impact Technology May Reduce Pedestrian Accidents

The tragic death of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Northwest Atlanta recently is another sad reminder of the potential danger posed to pedestrians by unsafe drivers. The fatal Atlanta pedestrian accident, which is currently under investigation by the Atlanta police department, indicates that the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle traveling by after stepping out into the roadway.
