Montlick & Associates' Athlete of the Week: Week 4

Montlick & Associates, Attorneys at Law honors Ryan Watson of Heritage High School as the Montlick & Associates Athlete of the Week September 16, 2011. The defensive end from Conyers, Georgia has the rare ability to be a great pass rusher and an efficient run stopper for the Heritage Patriots. Several Division One programs have taken notice of Watson's talents. Watson says he's interested in Duke right now, and has also talked to Georgia State and Air Force. If Watson is able to put up numbers that he has accumulated as a junior, the offers will definitely continue to come pouring in. "I'm trying to hit 12 sacks this year. Maybe 30 tackles for a loss; I'm trying to beat what I did last year," says Watson.

Montlick & Associates, Attorneys at Law recognizes Toran Davis of Decatur, Georgia as the Montlick & Associates Athlete of the Week October 7, 2011. Davis plays for the Southwest DeKalb High School Panthers, and is a young man whose head coach calls him Mr. Everything. Davis was shocked and honored to find out that his legendary head coach Buck Godfrey selected him to represent the Panthers as the Montlick & Associates Athlete of the Week. Davis starts on both sides of the ball, and has excelled at both linebacker and running back. He is a team player and has high expectations for the season. "The main goal is to win the State Championship of course, that's number one," says Davis.

Montlick & Associates, Attorneys at Law honors Brandon Nix of Milton, Georgia as the Montlick & Associates Athlete of the Week September 30, 2011. Nix is a standout defensive end for the Milton High School Eagles. A little surprised and honored to be selected by head coach Howie DeCristofaro. Nix says, "I'm really honored to be chosen as player of the week, it really means a lot to me." "Nix's game is built on high energy and effort characteristics that have made him a dependable run stopper and a nightmare for opposing quarterbacks." said his coach. "I'm just doing the best I can giving high effort. I wouldn't really compare myself to an NFL player, but I am out there doing the best for the team," says Nix.

Montlick & Associates, Attorneys at Law recognizes Andrej Suttles of Dallas, Georgia as the Montlick & Associates Athlete of the Week September 23, 2011. East Paulding head coach John Reid selected Suttles for this week's honor because of his play making skills as wide receiver for the Raiders. His ability to find the end zone has drawn the attention of several Southern Conference schools. Right now he is committed to Furman, but also has offers from Georgia State and Air Force Academy. In the Raiders last two games, Suttles has scored seven times. He is willing to do whatever it takes to keep East Paulding undefeated and closer to accomplishing his main goal. "I'm just really hoping to go to the State Championship and take this team far. I can't do it by myself. The team is really looking good together and we just want to go far," says Suttles.

This 2011 football season, Atlanta Injury Attorneys Montlick & Associates and WSB-TV Channel 2 has once again partnered to recognize student athletes who excelled both on and off the field in the Montlick & Associates' Athlete of the Week. Now that the season has ended, it is time to select the 2011 High School Football Athlete of the Year. Montlick & Associates will honor the winning athlete with a commemorative trophy, and donate $5000 to the winner's school. We would like to congratulate all 11 players on their accomplishments.
