Atlanta Auto Accident Lawyers, Montlick & Associates, Sponsors 2015 SafeTeen Georgia Driving Academy

On Saturday, November 7th, 2015, hundreds of teens and their parents will gather at the Delta Flight Museum for a full day of interactive training, designed to give young drivers hands-on driving experience in a safe learning environment. The Auto Accident Lawyers at Montlick & Associates are proud to sponsor this event as part of their ongoing driver safety partnership with the Safe America Foundation. At the event, teens will learn the basics of safe driving from experts including law enforcement, fire fighters and emergency medical personnel.

According to Safe America President & CEO, Len Pagano, "Teaching a teen to drive is a very important responsibility, because you're giving them a 3,000 pound car that can actually end a person's life. So you want to go through the best training, and that's what this day does. We give them all the skills they need to have behind the wheel, and we also teach them important things like how to change the tire, and what to do if they are facing an accident that they come upon that they're not engaged in." Adds Pagano, "This is a great day for teens and their parents. We're really grateful to Montlick and Associates for their support; for helping us put this event on and helping to get the word out."

Parents can register their teen drivers for the November 7th event at the Delta Flight Museum by going to SafeAmerica.org. Teens will participate in a wide range of demonstrations and interactive workshops, as well as learn all about Georgia driving laws and the consequences of violating them.

Workshops and presentations will include:

  • A simulated, distracted driving course designed to highlight the dangers of texting while driving and other driving simulator activities designed to test teen driving knowledge and braking skills;
  • Interactive activities that simulate impaired driving with "fatal vision goggles";
  • A teen pullover and sobriety test followed by an arrest and hearing in front of a real Traffic Court Judge;
  • Steps to take immediately to protect your legal rights, should you be in an accident that was someone else's fault; and
  • Over 20 driver safety exhibits
