Active, curious children will often investigate _ and sometimes try to eat or drink_ anything that is left out and within reach. Many household products and medicines can be poisonous to young children if swallowed, become in contact with skin or eyes, or if inhaled. Unfortunately, the U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reports that each year unintentional poisonings from consumer products commonly found in the home kill about 30 children and prompt more than 2 million calls to the nation's poison control centers.
