Corporate Involvement
The firm participated during the 1989 holiday season, along with the Mattel Toy Corporation, in a nationwide charity campaign called "Mattel Kids Care Too." From 1993 through the present, Montlick & Associates, P.C. participated as a corporate co-sponsor or supported Run for Kids' Chance, Inc., which is a charitable organization that provides scholarships to the children of Georgia's severely injured and deceased workers.
The firm also participated in 1992 as a co-sponsor of the Georgia Head Injury Association and Renaissance Rehabilitation Services "Walk 'N Run." This event raised money to promote brain injury prevention, and was also sponsored by Kroger and WSB-TV Channel 2.
Since 1993 the firm has been involved annually in the "Hands on Atlanta" program, where volunteers help approximately 200 community-based service agencies. They also assist public schools in addressing Atlanta's most critical needs.
Television Initiatives
During 1990, the firm co-sponsored three weeks of special educational episodes of the following television series on WVEU-TV 69 in Columbus: (1) "The Judge" (weekdays for Mothers Against Drunk Driving Week and Drug Awareness Week); and (2) "Highway to Heaven" (weekdays for Child Safety Week).
In 1992 and 1993, the firm joined WXTX-TV FOX 54 in Columbus in presenting several special episodes of the television series "Valley's Most Wanted." These specials profiled missing children from the local area.
Some Examples of Other Activities
The firm has an annual tradition of donating new toys and adult and children's clothing to a homeless shelter during the holiday season. The firm has supported numerous other charities including the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, American Heart Association, and the Make a Wish Foundation, to name a few.
From 1989 through 1993, Mr. David Montlick served on the Board of Directors of Children's Oncology Services of Georgia, d/b/a the Ronald McDonald House.
